Question 1

What does a move cost?

Accepted Answer

That can only be answered honestly once you have enquired. The price is driven mainly by: how much there is, the floor and lift situation at both addresses, the distance, the date, and how much packing or assembly you want us to do. Those are exactly the points the online request asks about, and a written quote follows from them. Flat price lists on the internet ignore the factors that actually determine the work.

Question 2

How far ahead should I enquire?

Accepted Answer

As soon as you know the date. The start and end of the month, and weekends, are the busiest slots and go first. Short-notice appointments are possible, but the choice is smaller. If your dates are flexible, note it in the request — it improves your chances considerably.

Question 3

Who arranges the no-parking zone?

Accepted Answer

We can, if you would like. The zone has to be applied for several working days ahead and the signs put up in time — it cannot be done at short notice. Just indicate in your request whether there is dependable space for a van outside the building.

Question 4

Is a survey necessary?

Accepted Answer

For smaller transports and assembly jobs usually not — photos in the request are enough. For a full house move a survey is worthwhile, because quantity and access are hard to judge from a screen. It can happen on site or over a video call.

Question 5

Do you provide moving boxes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at no charge. Tell us roughly how many you need in the request and we will bring them. As a rough guide, reckon on one box per shelf-metre of books, and considerably more for the kitchen and clothes than you would first assume.

Question 6

Do you speak English?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can make your request in German or in English, and we reply in whichever language you wrote in.

Question 7

How long does a move take?

Accepted Answer

Less depends on the size of the flat than on the access. A two-room flat with a lift at both ends is often done in a morning. The same flat on the fourth floor without a lift can take a full day. That is exactly why we ask about floors and lifts in the request form.

Question 8

Do you move offices and business premises?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose “Business move” in the request. It asks about workstations, IT and files — and about when the move can happen, so the business stands still for as short a time as possible.

Question 9

Do you move abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mark the address as being abroad in your request and name the country. The route, the date and anything to consider at the border are settled in the quote.

Question 10

Do I need a no-parking zone?

Accepted Answer

Whenever there is no dependable space for the van outside the building — which, in densely built neighbourhoods, is the normal case. The zone has to be applied for several working days ahead and signposted in time. We can take care of that for you.

Question 11

Do I have to pack myself?

Accepted Answer

No, though most people do because it saves time and therefore money. Tell us in the request which parts you will handle and which you would like us to do; we will price both.

Question 12

What happens to furniture that is not coming along?

Accepted Answer

Tell us in advance which pieces are staying behind or should be disposed of. We settle that in the quote — it should not be improvised on the day.

Question 13

Can you move in the evening or at the weekend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are reachable around the clock and move in the evenings and at weekends too — businesses in particular use that to keep running. Weekend slots are in demand, so ask as early as you can.

Question 14

How much does a move in Vienna cost?

Accepted Answer

Question 15

Accepted Answer

Question 19

Do you drive regularly for businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — as a standing contract. Tell us the route, the rhythm and what usually travels, and you get a quote for the ongoing arrangement rather than for each individual trip.

Question 20

Do I need to be there for the clearance?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. What matters is that we can get into the compartment: you are there, you hand over the key, or the property manager lets us in. The request asks exactly that.

Question 21

Can some things from the basement be kept?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Describe in your request what should stay. If something needs to go to another address, give that as the destination.

Question 22

Do I have to help carry?

Accepted Answer

No. You can help if you want to — the request asks, so the price matches what you actually want.

Question 23

How much does a man with a van (Lastentaxi) cost in Vienna?

Accepted Answer

The man with a van service costs €79.90 per hour incl. 20% VAT, minimum 2 hours. Included are the driver, a van up to 3.5 t, one helper, travel within Vienna, blankets and straps. Billing starts with the first hour, then in 30-minute steps; trips outside Vienna are charged per kilometre.

Question 24

How much does a house clearance in Vienna cost?

Question 25

No. Choose “Please bring everything” in the request and we will arrive fully equipped.

Question 28

Do you mount on plasterboard walls?

Accepted Answer
